5 ways to get rid of procrastination.

5 ways to get rid of procrastination.

Procrastination seems to be the number one killer of our productivity.

Procrastinators are a common kind of people that have the tendency to avoid carrying out their daily tasks.

The self-image they have about themselves is someone who constantly prefers to delay to accomplish his tasks and obligations.

That leads them to leave for another time tasks that should have been accomplished much earlier.

But what's the most efficient way to defeat this enemy?

Here are five tips to help you overcome procrastination:

1. Start with the tasks that appear to be more difficult.

The philosophy behind this particular strategy is that we get rid of the most annoying tasks first.

This helps us to create a flow to continue until we finally complete all of our tasks.

2. Make a "what to do" list.

This is a very effective trick that usually helps many people to overcome procrastination.

The optical contact with the written tasks operates as a trigger and as a result of it the possibility to procrastinate goes immediately down.

3. Imagine how it will look like after.

Imagination is a very powerful weapon against procrastination.

By imagining how good we are going to feel after the completion of our tasks it's more likely to take action on them and finally accomplish them.

4. Set deadlines.

This trick is extremely useful and easy to apply.

A deadline is going to make us feel more accountable for the fulfillment of our tasks.

Furthermore, deadlines very often help us to motivate ourselves in order to take action on the completion of our tasks and daily responsibilities.

5. Say "do it now" and do it NOW!

That's the simplest way to deal with procrastination.

Without much thinking just start doing what you need to do.

This method encourages us to alter our whole mindset which is the key in order to overcome procrastination.

Anyway,  procrastination is actually a bad habit, and like all bad habits, the basic way to deal with it is to replace it with a more strong beneficial habit.

This habit is action!
